Homogeneous Self-Alignment Technology without Forming Conventional Alignment Layers

摘要

Development of self-alignment technology without using conventional alignment layer materials is important for future LCDs such as flexible and/or narrow-frame LCDs. We have developed a new fabrication method and its materials for obtaining a uniaxially homogeneous alignment of LC without forming the conventional alignment layer produced from a polyimide film.
