India moves to harness growing scrap generation

The so-called Metal Recycling Policy has been in its discussionand planning stages for over two years, driven chiefly by India’ssteel ministry and Niti Aayog (National Institution for TransformingIndia). Consultants KPMG have been chosen and the MetalRecycling Association of India (MRAI), an industry bodyrepresenting the interests of some 750 member metal recyclingfirms, signed on as advisor.
