Rains were widespread across Brazil last week and will remain active this week, further improving moisture levels there for crop early growth. Dryer weather last week in Argentina helped to improve conditions there, although rains are expected to return in the coming days. The rains in Brazil this week are likely to be most beneficial for early growth of soyabeans and maize in east central and south central regions, while showers in the centre south cane belt will also improve soil conditions there.The north east cane belt is likely to remain dry, however.
