Diagnostic dilemmas and management of odontogenic myxomas: a series of cases with a review of the literature

Odontogenic myxoma is a rare tumour of the jaw, making both its diagnosis and management challenging. In the majority of cases, diagnosis is largely dependent on the histopathological findings. On review of the literature, no definitive management options have been established; treatment options range from curettage of small lesions, to large resections. We present four cases of odontogenic myxomas diagnosed within a year and look at the current management of these lesions.
