Re-inventing itself as an unconventional player has moved slower than Target Energy would have liked, although it is forging ahead with new wells in the Fairway project (60% working interest) in the Permian Basin believing the fundamentals of the Wolfberry play will eventually show. Its first well, Bank Of America 12-1, was drilled in late 2011 and was fracced over 11 stages in a 1,100 metre interval, but was not fully tested due to the influx of oil and water from the deeper Devonian section.
