Successful brands have a strong leader with a clear vision and there are several examples such as Kishore Biyani of Future Group,Richard Branson of Virgin,Anand Mahindra of Mahindra & Mahindra,etc.It has been their vision that has brought their companies so far.Very often I am asked as to why is a vision or a mission statement required? There are so many B2B SMEs that are doing so well without this 'jargon'.Leaders and entrepreneurs have a dream and know what they want to achieve.The challenge is to formalize it and drive it throughout the organisation.There are organisations that have vision and mission statements framed as mere adornments in their offices.They have not assimilated the vision and mission internally.
