Measurement of intraretinal layer thicknesses using optical coherence tomography (OCT) is becoming increasingly important for diagnosing and monitoring neuro-ophthalmic disease. The authors studied the ability of spectral domain OCT (Heidelberg Spectralis) to accurately reproduce measurements of intraretinal layer thickness in 60 healthy subjects (28 males and 32 females). Three measurements were obtained over a short period of time by a single examiner and then once by a second examiner.
