Western US Alliance Gets Mexican Partner In Bid to Market Stranded Gas Reserves

An alliance of Western US states and counties now has the Mexican state of Baja California as a member,providing a key potential avenue for selling stranded North American gas to world markets.The Western States and Tribal Nations(WSTN)was created after the release of an April report on how parts of the West could benefit economically if their gas could find a way to LNG export terminals.The WSTN is made up of the Ute Tribal Nation,Wyoming and Utah,and the Colorado counties of Garfield,Mesa,Moffat and Rio Blanco.
