Graphically Assisted Dynamical Subsetting of Crystal Orientation Maps Using MTEX-MATLAB

摘要

This manuscript describes code modifications in the crystal orientation mapping tool MTEX 5.1.1-MATLAB which converts plain images of grain maps into interactive ones, enabling simultaneous graphically assisted data subsetting by grain selection and corresponding pole figure plotting. The work also represents a guideline for the further development of personalized graphically assisted functionalities concerning electron backscatter diffraction-type data post-processing in a MTEX-MATLAB environment, addressing materials scientists with average knowledge in computing.
