Ensol Systems adds Sunfire SOFC tech to rugged power products

German-based Sunfire GmbH is partnering with Ensol Systems, a leading Canadian manufacturer and supplier of off-grid power solutions, for the integration, distribution and service of Sunfire solid oxide fuel cells for the North American market. Ensol Systems has extensive expertise in the design and integration of off-grid power systems for use in extreme weather conditions. The natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fueled systems are specially developed, built and tested for harsh Canadian winters, which can reach ambient temperatures as low as -40°C. Ensol decided to cooperate with the German manufacturer because of the proven use of Sunfire technology in other regions with similar operating conditions.
