SFC orders for German radio towers, pipeline construction project

German-based SFC Energy has received a large-scale call-off order for hydrogen fuel cells to power radio towers in Germany, working with its partner adKor GmbH. And SFC's Canadian subsidiary Simark Controls has won an EFOY Pro direct methanol fuel cell order, to power remote video surveillance equipment on a major pipeline construction project. The {EUR}2.5 million call-off order - i.e. a blanket purchase agreement with multiple delivery dates - is part of the framework agreement between SFC and adKor [FCB, December 2018, p13]. The partners will deliver Jupiter fuel cell systems for emergency backup power installed in switch cabinets for BOSNet radio tower sites at more than 100 locations in an unnamed German state, by the end of the year. The locations will hold sufficient hydrogen for 72 h of emergency power.
