Deadline passes without upturn Ireland

The deadline for applications of nitrogen and phosphorus arrived on 15 September, without any signifcant upturn in demand. Weather conditions have been ideal for grass growth - silage stocks for winter are more than healthy - meaning little or no need for fresh fertilizer purchases. Soils have continued to reap the beneft of nutrients applied earlier.
