Based on the heat potential from mine water in the Ruhr area,this artick gives suggestions for a sustainabk use of this resource.The theoretical energy use potential is determined.Concepts for power generation in the low-temperature range as well as a System approach for the valorisation ofthe mine water and the energy are presented.
