摘要

The Urban Dictionary uses the word "intextication" to describe a person who is texting on his or her cell phone while driving. What we know today is that personal technology - cell phones, BlackBerrys, PDAs and iPods - are everywhere in the workplace, as well as at home. There is increasing evidence that these devices are affecting job safety, and all employers, including ILMA members, need to be aware of the ramifications, regardless of whether it is a truck driver making a delivery, a salesperson on his or her way to a meeting, or a technician working in the blending plant.
