Anode coke: Indian court ruling weighs on US Gulf

US Gulf calcined coke prices slumped further as the Indian Su- preme Court refused to allow calciner Rain Carbon to resume importing US material to India for blending. The ruling, fnalised at the end of January, leaves the cal- ciner with large stockpiles on the US Gulf coast that will need new buyers. But restructuring its network to supply existing Middle East and Africa customers with US instead of Indian coke will take time.
