US Gulf anode-grade petroleum coke prices increased further in November, as strong calcined coke demand drove calciners to compete for green coke supply. Buyers had hoped that low-sulphur green coke pricing might begin to level off on the expectation that a major US Gulf calciner’s appetite would finally be satiated after winning a few recent tenders.
