Ultratech, India’s largest cement manufacturer, cut its energy costs in the July-September quarter on a sequential decline of 4pc in the petroleum coke price. Ultratech, which has a cement production capacity of 109mn t/yr, procured coke at an average rate of $91/t in the quarter, compared with $95/t in April-June 2019.
