The central idea connecting the texts of this posthumous collection is the end of life. The autobiographic, introspective and memorial element is in foreground. Notwithstanding the narrative aim, the proses are "lyrical". The I, indeed, contemplating the "things, images of God", draws from a spatial, temporal and spiritual beyond. Oltre highlights the invincible love that always fights against human evil. The work also remarks the desire of communion and of intimate dialogue with the "merciful" and consoling nature, image of God, offering gifts to the ungrateful man.
