Error Evaluation for Static Structural Analysis Using Numerical Methods

摘要

To analyze or test specific hypothesis engineers and scientists frequently modeled the natural phenomenon using concepts of mathematics. The various scientific laws, principles are used to develop mathematical models. The models are often described in terms of algebraic, differential and integral equation which relates various quantities of interest. The relationship that governs the system may take the form of algebraic, differential and integral equations. Often the differential equations are used to describe the system. But, formulating the differential equations for most problems is difficult and hence obtaining the solutions by exact methods of analysis is a formidable task. Alternatively, numerical technique is used for achieving the solution of the governing equations. The present research discusses the issue of the finding the field variable deviation for the various shape and sizes of one dimensional continuum. The analysis provides the percentage error in the field variable for the selected trial functions.
