Ringing a Tiger in the Naga Hills

Word is sent out to Captiain G.S Lightfoot to visit a Naga village and kill a tiger which had harmed a man. The villagers had surrounded the tiger on a number of occasions but it had escaped every time. The fearless Naga men and women had their own tactics to hunt a tiger but this particular beast proved difficult to kill. The writer describes the native strategy to trap a tiger and kill it with spears.The story was published in the May, 1929 issue of this periodical.
