Training Programme on Challenges and Strategies for Fertilizer Industry

The Fertiliser Association of India-Northern Region(FAI-NR)organized a training programme on Challenges and Strategies for Fertilizer Industry during September 11-14,2019 at Kufri,Himachal Pradesh.Fifty-four participants from thirteen companies attended the programme.The training programme was inaugurated by Mr.Manoj Mishra,Chairman & Managing Director,National Fertilizers Limited,Noida.Mr.Satish Chander,Director General,FAI,New Delhi gave the keynote address.In his inaugural address,Mr.Manoj Mishra complimented FAI for organizing more than 40 need based programmes in a year in different functional areas of the industry to enhance the professional competence of the executives working in the fertilizer sector.He mentioned that he had an opportunity to attend two programmes and found the same very educative and useful.The FAI programmes also provide unique opportunity of net-working with other participants in addition to improve professional skills.Mr.Mishra then gave an overview of NFL,its products and stated that the company had celebrated its 46th foundation day on 24th August,2019.He narrated the success story of the company over the years.He stated that NFL has now become multi-product company.In addition to production of urea at Panipat,Nangal,Bathinda and Vijaipur,the company imported 0.81 million metric tonnes(MMT)of diammonium phosphate and sold 4.9 million tonnes of all fertilizer products in 2018-19.
