THE CADILLAC CT6 had finally hit its stride. Already a well-controlled, great-looking car since its 2016 debut, when it was restyled for 2019 to incorporate cues from the stunning Pebble Beach Escala Concept, the car's design blossomed. Then Cadillac stuffed a Blackwing V8 under-hood - a 550-hp compact monster bringing along 640 lb-ft in the new-for-2019 CT6-V, or 500 hp and 574 lb-ft in CT6 Platinum-trim models - and the car really found its feet. Both versions felt like proper American luxury sedans, a rare commodity of late.
