Leech control: a cheap and simple method.

The medicinal leech (Hirudo medici-nalis) has proven to be very useful for reconstructive microsurgery in the salvage of failing tissue flaps. It is now a well-established method and widely used by reconstructive surgeons in the nonsur-gical management of venous-compromised digital replants, pedicle and free flaps.
