Inpex delivers first Ichthys LNG cargo

Japanese upstream firm Inpex has delivered the first cargo from the liquefaction plant of its 8.9mn t/yr Ichthys LNG venture in Australia. The shipment left Australia on 23 October and arrived at the Inpex-operated Naoetsu terminal in Japan's Niigata prefecture on 31 October, making it the first delivery from a major LNG project operated by a Japanese company. The cargo travelled on the 182,000m~3 Pacific Breeze, according to vessel tracking data.
