First Ichthys LNG cargo arrives in Japan

The first shipment from the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG project in Australia has arrived at the company's Naoetsu LNG Terminal in Japan. The terminal is located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. The LNG received at the terminal will be re-gasified and combined with natural gas produced from the Inpex-operated Minami-Nagaoka gas field, and then supplied to customers along the company's 1,500km natural gas trunk pipeline network stretching across the Kanto-Koshinetsu and Hokuriku regions.
