PEFC withdraws ADBE application

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) has withdrawn its application for approval with Dutch advisory commission on the sustainability of biomass for energy applications ADBE because the PEFC is adjusting its sustainable forest management (SFM) criteria. The SFM is an international benchmark for sustainable forest management and is implemented on a national and regional level. It is just one of the PEFC's international standards under revision, in a process that began in 2016 with a view to maintaining and further developing the certification scheme.
