Argentinian independent Medanito has defaulted on its dollar- denominated debt in a fnal blow wrought by the Covid-19 pandemic. The frm informed the country’s securities regulator this week that it would not be able to repay a $80mn loan and bond obligations worth some $20mn. Medanito had been working to restructure the loan it obtained from Credit Suisse since last year and had obtained several extensions.
