Total Senegal/Mauritania deep wildcatting Imminent as acreage added

Total will start an exploration programme off Mauritania and Senegal before the end of the year and appears to have added new acreage in the region. The company has built up a strong portfolio in the area over the last two years and off Mauritania now holds Blocks C-7, C-9 and C-18. Off Senegal it holds Rufisque Offshore Profond and Ultra Deep Offshore.
