Deepwater exploration off Cote d'lvoire is back in full swing with Anadarko drilling ahead and Total preparing its own well on the border with Ghana. While most nations have seen a slump in licensing and exploration, Cote d'lvoire has continued almost as usual throughout the price drop due to its pragmatic approach to fiscal terms. Companies such as Total, Eni and ExxonMobil have either entered or taken extra acreage because of this and the government is currently conducting a roadshow to try and attract interest in its unlicensed blocks.
