FAR claims Woodside”disingenuous”over Senegal SNE claim

Minority partner FAR has called the boss of Woodside,the operator of the SNE field off Senegal,”very disingenuous”after he claimed their legal actions threatened the whole project.Operator Woodside said FAR's arbitration over the sale by ConocoPhillips of its 35% to Woodside was causing uncertainty for project financiers.Chief executive Peter Coleman said that with the PSC for the acreage running out in early December and an arbitration decision not expected until after this,he could not see a resolution(seeAOG 15 July).FAR is claiming that its right of pre-emption was not adhered to and its boss Cath Norman has now said that Coleman's comments were”very disingenuous”but declined to comment further,saying:”No,I don't think so,we have all agreed that we should say nothing more.”Last month Woodside submitted a revised development plan and there are claims that the PSC cannot be terminated while y this is being evaluated or after it has been approved.The PSC expires in early December with an arbitration ruling expected later in the month.
