The operator of the Tilapia field in Congo Brazzaville, Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG), is now fighting battles on several fronts including against the national oil company, its planned rig provider and even its own chief executive. The UK minnow completed drilling at the shallow water field earlier this year and uncovered extra reserves in the existing R2 and Mengo reservoirs but also in the new Djeno reservoir. It was hoping to drill the latter in the first quarter of next year but the FSP rig will now not be available until June at the earliest.
