摘要

Forests are renewable resources. A wood-based industry has competitive advantage and comparative advantage. It becomes the mainstay of economy in Indonesia. As a country that has the second largest forest area in the world, Indonesia got less successful in forest industry plants basedTransmigration. This becomes an interesting phenomenon. From the point of previous literature review can be seen that variety aspects related to the impact of the strength of strategic planning and corporate performance such as in studies on the assessment outline controversy and inconsistencyin general. Some research groups on strategic planning effectiveness showed positive performance, and another research showed negative performance. However, there has no research related to the strategic planning effectiveness impacts to the performance of the forest industry plants untilnow. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of three constructs of strategic planning. The independent variables are managerial, environmental and organizational culture factors in relation to the company performance either directly or indirectly. This research was conducted by collectingquestionnaire data from respondents, and was developed the answers from several theories. The results of research described that there is no significant relationship between strategic planning and corporate performance.
