摘要

This study aims to determine the effect of capacitors on LED lamps and energy-saving lamps (LHE) on the resulting light power and electricity usage savings. Generally, electricity consumption savings are preferred, because the higher the price of electric KWh, while the light poweris less cared for, whereas the lamp function is for lighting so that the strong light produced is an important factor to be taken into account. This research tries to reveal whether there is effect of capacitor, so that with the resultant light will also be affected to the use of capacitor.The method used is experimentation in electric power installation laboratory, by giving treatment to LED lamp and energy saving lamp by installing capacitor, then measurement of its electric power consumption and strong light. The results obtained that there are differences in power factoron LED lights with capacitors and without capacitors, where the condition without capacitors magnitude 0.8 while the power factor with the capacitor increased to 0.85. Similarly, on LHE lamps, under the condition without capacitors the magnitude of the power factor is 0.8 whereas after thecapacitor is installed to 0.85. Apparently there is effect of capacitor usage, although both types of lamps including electric saving lamp, will become more efficient again when installed capacitor.
