Marine--Automated tape laying used to produce prepreg panels for boat-building

North Thin Ply Technology (NTPT) of Renens, Switzerland, and FIBRE Mechanics of Lymington, UK, are working together to develop high-performance composite products for boatyards that reduce labour time and cost. Using NTPT automated tape laying (ATL) technology for prepregs, the partners can build structures such as bulkheads, girders and interior joinery panels offsite to the exact specification, shape and size required by the design.
