Comment on 'Disengagement of the deeply engaged fetal head during cesarean section in advanced labor: conventional method versus reverse breech extraction'.

We have read the short report 'Disengagement of the deeply engaged fetal head during cesarean section in advanced labor: conventional method versus reverse breech extraction' by Chopra et al. (1). We would like to thank the authors for their efforts and the data they shared with us. We thought a few comments would be helpful to the readers. Obstetricians working in busy maternity hospitals or tertiary centers have come across 'the deeply engaged head in advanced labor situation' and know the stress it is associated with. Dislodging the deeply engaged head, especially after prolonged labor, may be a real challenge and has many complications; therefore, one should understand that neither pushing nor pulling maneuvers are easily performed, and they require extreme care and expertise.
