摘要

Heterosis, combining ability and inbreeding depression for some characters were studied in pepper (Capsicum annuum) grown in unheated plastic houses. Hybrid vigour was detected for both early and total fruit yield, and significant positive average degree of heterosis values were obtained. Both additive and non-additive gene effects were involved in the inheritance of the traits studied. The additive gene effects were more important than the non-additive ones in the genetic mechanism for total yield and average fruit weight, whereas for early yield, the non-additive effects played the main role. The best combiner cultivars or lines for early yield based on fruit weight and number were Feherzon, 25-1, Yolo Wonder and Greyga, and those for total yield included Sweet Banana, Marconi Rosso, Casca Dura and Avelar. The best F1 hybrids were Feherzon x Sweet Banana and Avelar x Marconi Rosso for early yield and 5-27 x Yolo Wonder, Suptol x Avelar and 5-27 x Casca Dura for total yield. Regarding inbreeding depression, all F2 populations were lower than their corresponding F1 crosses in early and total yields.
