The current economic and political climate is putting strain on budgets - IHS Markit/CIPS UK and the ONS's latest statistics measuring sector performance don't make for easy reading, showing that Brexit and material shortages are having a real impact on confidence. Major investment decisions are on hold, recruitment drives are delayed and costs are being cut across the board.
