S Korea central bank hikes policy interest rates by 25 basis points

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s central bank raised its interest rates by 25 basis points on Thursday to 1.50%, citing “the solid trend of domestic economic growth has continued”. The economy may post growth that is “slightly above” the projections in October as consumption and investments continued to improve, and amid buoyant exports, the Bank of Korea said in a statement on Thursday.
