S Africa's Sasol cancels planned GTL project in US, unveils strategy

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sasol will no longer invest in further greenfields gas-to-liquids (GTL) projects including the one planned at Lake Charles in Louisiana, the US, as well as new wholly-owned mega chemical complexes, the South African petrochemicals group said on Thursday. Sasol has also decided not to invest in any additional crude oil refining capacity, the company said in a statement.
