Distributors in Chinese MLLDPE domestic market face squeezed margins

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Distributors and traders in China’s metallocene linear low density polyethylene (MLLDPE) domestic market were facing losses in recent weeks as import prices remain much higher in comparison to local prices, market players said on Wednesday. Non-dutiable ASEAN-origin C6 (hexene-based) MLLDPE cargoes were offered at $1,340- 1,350/tonne CFR (cost and freight) CMP (China Main Ports) for December shipments.
