Southeast Asia EPS falls on weak SM prices; demand to stay bearish

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Expandable polystyrene (EPS) prices in Asia softened on weaker feedstock styrene monomer (SM) market, with demand expected to stay bearish from downstream packaging sector. In the week ended 19 July, EPS fell $12.50/tonne from the previous week to $1,247.50/tonne CFR (cost & freight) SE (southeast) Asia, the lowest level since 8 February, according to ICIS data.
