HOUSTON (ICIS)--US privately owned housing starts in April rose month on month but fell year on year, measured on a seasonally adjusted annual rate, the US Census Bureau said in a Thursday report. The month-on-month increase was driven by gains in new residential construction for both single-family homes and buildings with five units or more.
