CRUDE SUMMARY: Oil futures surge on OPEC talk

LONDON (ICIS)--Crude futures opened in negative territory on Thursday after US government data showed a massive 8.4m bbl build on crude and a 3.5m bbl build on gasoline stocks, taking them to record highs. Prices regained some ground as Europe opened, buoyed by a weaker dollar after the US Federal Reserve kept its interest rates unchanged, before trading stable through to early afternoon.
