Cyclics' 1st CBT Plant On-Line

Late this month, The Cyclics Corporation announced that it has brought its first commercial scale production plant, located in Scharzheide, Germany, for their CBT~R resins on-line. The plant has an initial capacity of 2,500 MT (5.5 million Ib) of CBT resin, and the company has plans to double this early next year. The company reports that its current partnerships and supply agreements already account for more than 50 percent of the plant's initial capacity. During the fourth quarter of this year, Cyclics intends to announce the selection of its second CBT resin plant. This new facility is anticipated to come on-line during 2009 and add an additional 22,700 MT -45,500 MT of annual capacity.
