Unilever seeks to end the 'single' in single-use sachet

UNILEVER will pilot a process aimed at recycling the plastic from single-use sachets of food and toiletries in Indonesia later this year. Unilever sells various products in single-use sachets, especially in developing countries where people are less able to afford larger quantities. The consumer goods giant has now developed a process in partnership with Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering to tackle the resulting waste problem.
