China’s export volume of metallurgical coal in May reached 742,000 tons, up by as much as 664,000 tons (845.3%)from the year-earlier month, of which 203,000 tons was exported to Japan, 162,000 tons to South Korea and 156,000 tonsto India.Incidentally, China exported 402,000 tons of metallurgical coal also in April, of which 169,000 tons was exportedto Japan. Hence, China exported a total metallurgical coal of 372,000 tons to Japan in April and May.
