DOE Decides to Extend Non-FTA LNG Export Approval Period Up to 2050

The Department of Energy (DOE) has decided to extend the approval period of LNG export to non-FTA countries to end-December 2050 from the current period of up to 20 years from the first export date. DOE intends to accept requests from existing authorization holders to extend their period and from existing applicants to amend their pending applications to extend.
