Bangladesh’s Payra coal terminal to begin operations by 2021

Bangladesh’s Payra coal terminal in the southern part of the country is expected to begin operations by 2021. Construction work on the terminal is expected to begin this year and once complete will handle imports from Indonesia, Australia and South Africa to supply coal-fired power plants under construction near the terminal, according to a government official.
