Polyacetal facility of Celanese's Ibn Sina jv enters testing phase

THE US-based Celanese Corporation has confirmed that the polyacetal facility of Ibn Sina joint venture in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia, has entered the testing phase, with commercial production expected to start in the third quarter of 2017. Ibn Sina - a joint venture between Sabic and CTE (a company jointly owned by subsidiaries of Celaneseand Duke Energy) - is setting up a 50,000 metric tonnepolyacetal manufacturing facility in Jubail Industrial City.
