Sabic and Celanese Corp. to Develop a Polyacetal Plant at the Ibn Sina Complex

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) has signed an agreement with its American partner, Celanese Corporation, for the development of a 50,000-ton/year polyacetal (POM) plant Within the complex of National Methanol Co. (Ibn Sina) in Jubail. Ibn Sina is a joint venture between Sabic (50%), Celanese Corporation (25%) and a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation (25%).
